CoD4 - weird connection timeout

Hey everyone,

 

I Have been hosting cod4 servers since day 2007 and never had such an issue:

basically my servers work fine but if I restart them I have to wait about 30 minutes before being able to connect (in the meantime server is responding to queries just fine, I can even see it on HLSW).

Same happens with a newly created server, it can be joined after about 30 mins only, then it can be joined just fine but if it gets restarted we have to wait another 30 mins before being able to connect.

 

This happened all of a sudden without anyt major change on my side, I tried rebooting my dedicated boxes (issue has been confirmed on my 2 boxes hosting cod servers) with no luck.

 

As I work for another GSP I ran the test there too and it gives the exact same issue so afaik it is affecting all the cod4 servers atm.

 

Does any1 have any info Or work around for that issue?

 

Edit: just out of curiosity I downloaded a crack*d exe and I could join just fine so this is something wrong with auth servers.

The error which you can see in both the servers console and clients is

Error : NET_GetPacket : WSAENETRESET

 

Its a Activision error and nothing can be done on your side. Servers tag the lobby and can be seen and added to favorites so its basically the client call to the masters I am assuming.

 

Googling it pulls up a ton of NEW threads on it..
