There's already a config for the game included in TCAdmin 2.

You mean so it creates:

 

resource.addfile("path to file") or resource.addWorkshop("ID")

 

im currently trying to make the first option but im struggling to get the hooks from tcadmin.

Why not just use Workshop through the commandline?

You can make a collection via steam and get a collection id you then add a variable in the tcadmin template for this and then you will need a auth key so you make a 2nd variable to set this up and your done
