  1. you should browse the forums before. the txt file is the premade config to be loaded in TCA And no theres no way to fix the CPU hog, it depends of the missions played, some requires a lot of cpu but usually its 20% minimum.
  2. For admins (and not superuser) you need to stop the server, download murmur.sqlite, open it with sqlitebrowser and manually add an admin. I made a tutorial including a video there : http://www.roxservers.com/index.php?fuse=knowledgebase&view=KB_viewArticle&articleId=8&public=1 If you talk about superadmin powers you may have missed something from my first post, try to type the commands manually instead of executing the bat. It works on windows 2003 std 64 bits, not tested on another environment. PS : I had to enable file manager to let customers download and edit murmur.sqlite (originally disabled in my first config).
  3. Probably not, could be more could be less. It depends on your bw config and on the mission running. I got an emptyserver using 25% CPU cuz of persistent battlefield enabled. And I got a full 22 slots using 20% CPU cuz the mission running is different.
  4. players vote for mission at connecting to the server. Just use the copy you bought for the server , install it on ur comp and give a try, that may help u to see what its all about.
  5. 12 players = 30% CPU and 500Mb RAM. And yes as for almost all games you need to purchase a copy.
  6. So after update I got the following ressources usage for 12 players : 26% CPU and 350Mb RAM on a Xeon X3350.
  7. I think he meant from where they get it, not sure tho. I purchased mine on nexway.com (digital copy). Boxed version in stores. If you talk about where are msotly located customers renting servers I would say germany and france (based on my personal customers).
  8. I agree altho for a file link google would have saved your time. I just installed the 1.02 servers so im gona wait a while to compare cpu and ram used.
  9. Searching on google would have been even faster than asking : http://www.arma2.com/support/mises-a-jour/download/50-arma2server_1_02beta.html?lang=fr
  10. btw this game is using loads of ressources... 5 players = 33% CPU and 500Mb RAM wtf...
  11. idk just check arma forums. I purchased german version so I couldnt say about yours. I will try to find some way to patch in english cuz its a damn pain to find what is what in game.
  12. im talking about this edit link is dead soz but the file is ArmA2Server.exe
  13. dedicated exe has to be downloaded apart just google it and u ll find it
  14. affirmative altho didnt download the game on my own comp yet so I couldnt try it but watching game monitoring I saw some players conencted so I assume it works fine. Need to wipe some useless fiels and install it on home comp to make sure
  15. this config works with 1.01 patch and dedicated server executable Armed Assault 2.txt
  16. oh, weird, well it works the way you dit it so no big deal may depend on the windows updates or something. you can check the error message running the .bat in remote session and adding pause at the end of the bat. so u can see if thats an unknown command or task not found (if you didnt do it already). Saying this for other ppl mostly since u found a way to make it work
  17. ye i forgot to say it may depend of your OS. tskill works on windows server 2003, you may also use taskkill or ur program.
  18. search for murmur in TCA forums I made a config with a trick to work with TCA
  19. Here is Assault Cube (open source game) config file, Before importing the config you need to tweak your tcadmin database in order to make the command line parameter case sensitive : tc_game_cmdline table > COMMAND column > Collation = latin1_general_cs Game engine is same as Cube (open source), I noticed on HLSW that the game was recognized as UT 2004 but not returning slots (0/0) neither private/public status. Same goes for TCA, it looks like it can query the game but returns 0 player 0 max player and private false. So basically Ive set the game compatibility to blank. The good point is that slots and server status are controlled by the command line only so customers should not be able to change it. Assault Cube.txt
  20. its by default present in the ini : bVACSecured=False about the enabled status if you monitor with HLSW it takes some time to get updated. But it definitely works fine setting it only in the config with bVACSecured=True
  21. Theres a typo in your default command lines : ?VACSecure=false in fact it is ?VACSecured=false and its not necessary to add that parameter in command line as it can be set in the server config file To enable logging you can also add -log=logname.log
  22. nvm it works now, looks like i had to w8 a while before checking status. thx
