  1. Heya! Thanks for all the replies. I won't be able to test it right away.
  2. Add an option to label a game service. In TCAdmin1, we use custom display name to make game servers recognizable for our community admins so they don't accidentally reset the wrong server, and display it on our frontpage (http://www.convictgaming.com). Right now we are using the tcadmin2 notes field as a work around for our published server list, but that doesn't show up in the tcadmin2 list.
  3. Right now TCADMIN2 creates one sets of logs per starting date, separate console logs, separate logs for each daemon, spread out over several directories. it makes it a pain to deal with this beta, since every time something breaks I have to scour through a buttload of files just to find if it logged an error. Is it possible to set up a single error log?
  4. Request: Add ip and port to connection refused exceptions logging, by default. The current stacktraces given in errors are often not very informative, like: 04/26/2011 08:08:29<--->System<>System.Net.WebException: Error: ConnectFailure (Connection refused) ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Connection refused at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect (System.Net.EndPoint remoteEP) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0. etc. Right now we need to trace system calls ourselves just to figure out what's going on.
  5. in above state: In 2.0.18.0, with MONITOR_USER and SERVICEMAN_USER as root, restarting serviceman and monitor just restarts a couple of servers, but web interface claims all services are started. Later on it shows StartError for all broken services. With MONITOR_USER and SERVICEMAN_USER as 'violent', the account running tcadmin, just restarting the serviceman and monitor restarts all the services fine. All tcadmin and game service files are owned by 'violent'. I see nothing special in logs.
  6. TCAdmin Version: 2.0.19.0 Operating System: Debian Squeeze, 64 bit, Stock Kernel customized for 1000Hz Machine Specs: Dual X5472 @ 3.00GHz, 8GB Database Type: mysql root@banhammer:/home/violent/tca2beta/Monitor# ./serviceman-service install update-rc.d: using dependency based boot sequencing update-rc.d: error: unable to read /etc/init.d/serviceman-service The TCAdmin Service Manager service has been installed successfully Services is now named TCA2ServiceMan, looks like update-rc.d tries to update for the old service name.

  8. TCAdmin Version: 2.0.18.0 , 2.0.19.0 Operating System: Debian Squeeze, 64 bit, Stock Kernel customized for 1000Hz Machine Specs: Dual X5472 @ 3.00GHz, 8GB Database Type: mysql 'Check for updates' also allows 'upgrading' to the current version (so 2.0.18 allows you to upgrade to 2.0.18). Not sure if this is intentional or not, but it is somewhat confusing.
  9. Oopsy. Here are the logs. tcadmin_install_log.txt tcadmin_uninstall_log.txt
  10. TCAdmin Version: 2.0.18.0 Operating System: Debian Squeeze, 64 bit, Stock Kernel customized for 1000Hz Machine Specs: Dual X5472 @ 3.00GHz, 8GB Database Type: mysql During a fresh installation, installing or uninstalling the tcadmin2 services fails (see logs). We are doing a fresh installation, reinstalling everything except database and installed game servers. We've had couple of installs and reinstalls, so the installation is in an undefined state. As far as I can tell there are no startup files lingering in /etc/init.d, and there are no references in the rc.d paths.
  11. TCAdmin Version: 2.0.19.0 Operating System: Debian Squeeze, 64 bit, Stock Kernel customized for 1000Hz Machine Specs: Dual X5472 @ 3.00GHz, 8GB Database Type: mysql Just a heads up, after upgrading to 2.0.19.0 my game services are stuck in "unknown" state, even after restarting the serviceman and monitor services and making sure no processes are lingering. Doing a clean install, I'll report back if it occurs again. *edit 2* Upgrading via console with running services leaves all the servers in 'unknown' state, with no option to start. In 2.0.18.0, saving each game Service Settings restores 'start'. Able to start the server afterwards. I can start tf2 servers fine, rest isn't working (StartError) In 2.0.19.0, saving each game Service Settings restores 'start', but am not able to start the game services with it. It gets stuck in 'starting...' and no process is actually started. Right now we can't really use 2.0.19.0, since it refuses to start services.
  12. TCAdmin Version: 2.0.18.0 Operating System: Debian Squeeze, 64 bit, Stock Kernel customized for 1000Hz Machine Specs: Dual X5472 @ 3.00GHz, 8GB Database Type: mysql Observed: Loss of terminal cursor in console running monitor-console or serviceman-console, after application shutdown. Expected: Cursor is reactivated. To reproduce: 1. follow linux installation instructions. 2. After step "Click on Finish to apply your configuration and restart the monitor", check the console running monitor-console, cursor is gone.
  13. Any ideas how I can manually delete those services?
  14. Like when I changed it to query a server it restarted the server once I clicked save.
  15. Instead of the server restarting automatically you should give an option to just save and on next restart the command line is added or save and restart. Also instead of that in the Games & Other Voice Servers have a save feature. It would be nice not to have to restart a server everytime I change something.
  16. Also when I click on service settings on the gameserver I get this error. I was hoping I could give it a fake ip so I could atleast use the ip for the gameserver. Can you please add a feature that just allows you do delete a gameserver from the list even if the server box is no longer online.
  17. Disabled the server still get the "ip bound to gameservice" and the game service isn't showing up on the list anymore.
  18. One of my server boxes I was testing v2 on had hardware failure so I wanted to move the ips to a different box but everytime I try to delete the whole server or the gameserver the ip was connected to it is giving me an error. How can I remove the the ip so I can move it to a new box.
  19. Why isn't it automatically on. No offense but we use tcadmin to make sure servers are online and restart. It would be like buying a condom and it didn't protect you from diseases or pregnancies.
  20. Shouldn't the override.config be able to be edited from the web interface. Why is there 2 ways you should have only one atleast in my book that would me more sense.
  21. Also I can upload of files just not those 2 so far.
  22. Where is the allow list for file to be upload to the server for some reason I am not able to upload .so and dll files to the ftp which leads me to believe there is an allow list which I do not see anywhere?
  23. Does that included when they crash? Or is this a way to just start and stop servers without a web interface? I have had multiple servers crashing and not restarting.
  24. So running TCAdminServiceBrowser will make the gameserver auto restart?
