almost every time i run a steam update on my gmod server it does server is not responding and i try restarting it and running the update again and the only way i get to use the server again is re installing the whole thing

I tried that before posting i couldn't get it right....so i made a minecraft server and then moved the tekkit files there and i renamed the tekkit jar to minecraft_server.jar and the edited the bat and renamed it. The server starts and stuff but it restarts itself. any idea on that
