Ark size?

ARK recently reduced the size massively.

Initial install used to be 30GB+ as it had all user end files as well.

They reduced this down to 3.35GB for Windows. :)

It's only once people start adding mods (some are 1GB+) / massive worlds the files get a little large.

I figured this would be it for server files. The base files wouldn't need to be that big or contain the user files.

You're saying the dedicated server package on steamcmd is 18.56gb when zipped?

The hell lol.

Yes, exactly. I'm not talking about an active server, I'm talking about when the dedicated server files are downloaded, then zipped. The size is currently 18.56GB. Not normal?

So....sounds like for new installs, you are downloading the files directly from Steam and NOT downloading it ahead of time and zipping them, as tcadmin does with all game files...?

I still download files ahead of time to put them zipped up on our own install respository. However I do download them from steamcmd beforehand though.

Are you sure you're using the dedicated server appid instead of the user appid?
