Keep getting this message on Ark updates and cant seem to get it to resolve.

Running on centos, other steam games update just fine.

Did you have permission where u want to update? (Disk write failure) means you dont have permission or you HDD is crap. Or you dont have enough space.

So I know space isn't an issue as there is terabytes available. Copied data to another drive and same issue. Im checking the permissions but seems like this is localized to Ark servers as my 7 days to die servers and other steam update games are updating just fine on the same server.

 

Not sure if I missed a step with steamcmd for the server.

Make sure that the TCAGame user (or similar) has the proper permissions for the folder.

Can you update if you run SteamCMD as root?

It shouldn't be testuser (unless you've setup that user to run ARK servers). Try going to Actions > Repair.

Disk write failure is usually fixed by deleting the steamcmd folders and trying again.

 

 

rm -fr /home/tcadmin/Monitor/Tools/SteamCmd

rm -fr /home/tcagame/SteamCmd
