I have reinstalled windows countless times, put more versions of game files on my server than I can count, and it is still happening. I even have a completely different server. With completely different specs. And guess what? They are still crashing themselves. I have posted on every forum that has any relation with cod and emailed countless people.

 

 

 

Any Suggestions/Comments/Suggestions are appreciated.

 

 

Here is the whole console. (this server only lasted for 3 minutes and 12 seconds after i started it.

It is impossible for the cause to be buffer over run as no one was on the server.

Try this 1st.

 

 

These 3 lines

 

 

]set sv_hsotname .

]set sv_maxclients 1

]serverinfo

 

remove the bracket ] from the front of the line to be like this

 

 

 

then correct the speeling in hostname ;)

 

Also set it to unpure server and see if it resolves the issue since I do not see it loading all of your IWD files which are needed to run a pure server. They are not needed to run a dedicated server but they are needed for PURE.

You are also not running this as a TCADMIN service. You are running it from the Default install path. I have had issues running certain titles as a manual install/startup after having installed one of those titles by TCA.

Running it manually and not through tcadmin was the only way i could actually see the console. But it is still doing the same thing as the tcadmin servers.

 

Go into the service setting for the server and check the box interact with desktop ;) Then you can see the console. Your sure you have no Mods in there? And that none of the pk3 are corrupt? Check the fpsadmin.com site I gave you a link for. I am going to say if all the files are clean and runing nonpure mode that it is your server.cfg file

 

 

Post your cfg file for me and your staretup command line you are using.

awe.cfg is a config for a mod, and it is 100 percent ok.

And I suggest uninstalling the mod and trying a non modded server first.

How do you know the AWE mod is ok if your server is crashing?

 

How many mod files are there after it calls the AWE because i know the extreme for cod2 has like 11 cfg files and if not set properlly will crash the server.

 

If I remeber correctlly as well the awe exe installs with different options for smoke colors etc.....

 

Also.. if you are calling the awe MOD where is your +set fs_game AWE in your command line?

For AWE you require a different command line, one that sets it to run in a different directory.

 

+set dedicated 2 +set fs_game awe +set net_ip %serverip% +set net_port %serverport% +set sv_maxclients %slots% + exec dedicated.cfg +map_rotate

OK. I cant seem to reproduce your error. When you downloaded AWE which version did you get? and also the installer or zip? Have you tried re downloading, could be a corrupted file in the mod.

 

The only way I was able to get similar results to your were having both the UO and the cod1 awe mods in there at the same time.

I honestly don't think it is the mod. Because even my unmodded servers are crashing. And most the time they are first.

 

 

If you would like I can send you the cod files I am using.

 

 

edit: I can also send you the mod if you would like. I am using awe 1.4.4 and I got the zip.

 

 

And I just stopped all my modded servers and am currently running 1 unmodded server to see if the mod is the problem.

Still running, your files, your command line, 6 people in there and I don't have version 1.3 to go and own them.... well going to find a cod2 server hit and school some peeps.

 

If you want to grant me access to your box I could have a look at from there. Maybe it's just something simple your missing.

Do you know how mad this is making me? I can't believe this. It is like I am being sabotaged. Please tell me who I need to pay off ... lol. I sent you the information for my gamepanel login and my rdc info a couple of emails ago. I will resend it. :)

Sorry, that is the email i sent it to. (typo). Did you receive it? I sent it last night.

 

 

And--- My server is down that you were testing with. Did you kill it or did someone else?

 

I didn't receive the info last night, checked my email again and still not there nor in my trash.

 

Search on google really didn't turn up much of anything for the buffer over flow error. I'll add you to the white list on my server just to be sure your not being blocked there. If in doubt you can also use our support ticket system. http://helpdesk.rdshosting.net
