Master Server / Game Server Setup *Defcon / Other*

OK,

In game servers i see people have master servers and game servers, is everything setup on the master server and when you add a game server the files / configs are copied over or do you have to setup the game servers with there own game files / configs?

 

example:

 

If i purchased a Defcon Reseller Server, Which has like 50+ games and everything else already installed.

 

Could I then just buy a server say from LayeredTech or any other server comapany,

 

Set it as a game server then the master server would copy over the game files / configs?

You can configure the master to serve files to the remote if you like.

 

You would need to speak to Defcon regarding the remote server being with another provider. That would be up to them.

That isn't a problem having remotes linked to servers with other providers.

 

The master panel with the reseller cp on it would need to run on the server you rent from us though.
