Looking for some clarity

Right, I'd like to make a move and start using TCAdmin, I really like what I see, but I need some clarification. When hosting servers, the server box acted as it's own master server, I'm just wondering how your whole system works with Master Servers / Remote servers and how I get the connection from them to my server boxes.

I'm sorry if this seems stupid to you, but I just don't get it, lol. I'm looking for a good detailed explanation.

Think of the Master server as the brains of the outfit. It contains the database and all the wepages. This is where your clients would login to control their servers.

Remote servers run a monitor program which communcates back to the master server and alllows services and files on that machine to be changed, edit, started, stopped etc...

The Master server is also capable of hosting game servers as well, keeping in mind that the box will be using some resources for IIS and the database.

Each TCAdmin system needs 1 Master server. The rest of the dedicated servers you would add on would be remotes.

Right, so 1 master server, which Is connected to the remote servers. And my dedicated are connected to the remotes? Or the remotes are my actual dedicated servers? :~

Sorry for all of the questions, I just want to get everything 100% before I continue on.

I have the master on 1 dedicated and host my voice servers on it, then on all of my other dedicateds, I put 1 remote on each to run the game servers themselves on them.

You will need a master for the web interface running on IIS and to hold your database and zipped game files. Then on each dedicated system, you need a remote and with it you can run as many game and voice servers as the individual system will hold. So if you have 5 dedicated servers, you would need 1 master and 4 remotes.......

My $.50 translation :) You cannot go wrong with TCA and no one can hold a candle to their support. Also most here on the forum will help out even tho they are competitors with each other :)
