Freddy
Hi Guys, I'm running a CS:S 22 Slots Dust2_Only Gameserver on my dedicated server. IP: 62.41.26.10:27015 Specs: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 Intel Pentium D 3.0Ghz 3GB DDR2 533 160GB 7200RPM CPU usage is maximum 50%. Mods: Evenscripts (only es_hegrenade sound) Mani-Admin 1.2R Detox Z-block SteamBans HLstatsX Problem: At end of each round, when CT or T wins, there is a lag. It takes about 2 seconds. Every round! What can be causing this?
Defcon|Rich
Could be a few things. Check your plugins. Stats processing can be intensive and cause what you describe.
ECF
Sounds like one of the MODS. My first advice would be to disable HL Stats and check it. Stats may be causing the lag as they get sent out to an external server?
Freddy
HLstatsX is on my webserver. The Gameserver only logs the stats and sends it to my webserver. So I don't think it's the Stats that is causing the lag. An other friend of mine, said it was the CPU's "hyperthreading" causing the lag. Is that possible? matrix4583
your mods causing the lag. What mod are you running? Some mattie event version can cause lag and some of es tool also.
ECF
Best thing to do is to shut down all mods and stats plugins. Try it as a stock server. See if the lag is there. Then enable the plugins/mods one by one and test them.
Freddy
I've finally found the problem. It was steambans :S Deleted it, and problem seems to be solved.
kalyse
Its common to have some lag or slow loading at the end of a round anyway and the entities are replaced, its probably the most spikiest time on a server at the end of the round and starting a new one, but probably not as much as your described. Try loading breakfloor and placing that with 12 people and you will see what I mean.
