tcngs
Does changing the priority to high or realtime effect the performance of a 100 tic CS:Source server in comparrison to normal?
swish
It just give it the higher priority on the processor for starts and restarts. I think.
tcngs
Is this correct ECF?
ECF
It just gives it priority over CPU time. It does not boost the game in any way that I am aware of. Basically if you had say 5 server on a box, and you set one to high proiority, that server gets first shot at the CPU(s) before the other games. However this can cause problems with the other games etc... In a nutshell, it is not recommended.
Monk
changing priority is useless unless youre maxing cpu time. process accounting is lame for game servers.
Defcon|Rich
Possibly removing that option should added to the features list.?
ECF
Some games do need it. I just can't remember off the top of my head which ones. So we can't remove it.
