help with licence

when my licence is renwed will i need to log in to the server and do something or will my TCadmin comntrol pannel start working as soon as the licence is renwed

If your license was suspended, and then re-activated, you may need to re-start the TCAdmin monitor service on your machine so it re-activates itself.

You can restart the box, that would have the same effect. But if you do not know the login info to the box, how can you resatrt it?

 

Unless you have a remote reboot console?

If you have Full admin to TCA Web then you could just make a root acces ftp and replace the windows password file on that box, provided you know where it is hidden. Then issue a reboot via TCA. You will then not only solve your license issue but regain Desktop to the box.

ooh am off to go consult google, not that I need it but thats rather interesting as I thought it was encrypted so I wasn't aware you could replace like that
