jbiloh
Legal sent Lance Konig (owner) a notice a few days ago. We expect their site to go away soon to avoid additional issues.

lkonig
Before any rumors etc... get started on these forums I would like to point out I have contacted Jon from velocity-server.net. The name Velocity Game Servers is a registered trade name in the state of Maryland. Similar or exact trade names can be used in different states as long as the trade name is registered in that state. adamnp
Theres a fine line with that somewhere though, as I know a local grinder shop here that used to be called SteakWays was sued by SubWay... (They are both in the state of Connecticut) http://stevesmarketanddeli.com/2005/10/subway-goes-after-steakways.htm They did place a lawsuit, and the lawsuit infact did make the place change their name... I'm not a lawyer, but I would imagine it has something todo with both parties being mutual over it, and/or who has more money to persue the legal battle... Just my 1 cent... swish
I would have to agree. Not sure how your business is going but I would seem to think that everyone (gamers) would always consider it a "knock off" as they all know who Velocity is. But I do understand the diffrence in names. Good luck in your future business
