Crysis Server Set-up

So I'm installing Crysis on a new box and it installs, but isn't viewable in the Server Status and Administration module and is unable to be connected to. To get the server files I created the game on another server and zipped the files - so I used those. I also used the Crysis config here on the forums and tried using GameSpy3 & GameSpy4. Where can I go from here?

Run the game on the desktop and see what errors you get that are preventing the server from starting

Also make sure you have the Visual C++ Runtime Libraries installed.

Yes I have that, but the server still doesn't even want to start. Therefor there is no console to look at quite yet.

Did you try to run it on the desktop?

My 1st guess is that you do not have the game installed at the paths used it the TCA cfg you are using. In other words your game directory structure is not correct.

Login to the server and run the server executable to see if it will even start would be the first thing to do.

The game does not even want to run when I click it, ECF is right. I'm going to need new game files. Would someone be so kind to help me out? I'd really appreciate it.

Did you put in a command line before exe?

 

Also, you should not ask for people to illegally share copyrighted games in an open forums.

Can I have an example command line (with the variables - I'm not sure there is even one there)

When I click the Crysis Ded Server exe it says "The application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect" (This is from remote desktop).

even if I have Visual C++ Runtime Libraries installed it will not run with our actually installing the game on the server. Is there a way to get around having to install the game on the server?
