iam searching for a Hardware with can ping my Server and if a Server is not responsing, it should send a SMS to a Phone Number........

 

 

Is there are Hardware out witch can handle this? I just found Software what you can install on a Server or Services witch provide such a Service......

Place on a fively crontab and go take a nap, you don't need anything more than shared linux hosting for this to work.

is there any freeware software witch work with an GSM Modem to send SMS?

I use a blackberry which forwards all messages when tcadmin detects the server is not responding via pop mail

Cacti can do this for you if setup correctly.

If not you should upgrade immediatly!

Host-tracker would probably be what your looking for as it's main feature is SMS messaging.

I use Alertra. Fantatic service and quick and easy to setup. I tested it and turned a machine off and within 30seconds i had a sms on my phone.
