Cannot get fileserver to work

So, I am just installing TCAdmin, and so far, so good! Am very excited.

However, I have gotten my remotes to link with my master, so NOW I am trying to get my file server setup. Here is my understanding of file servers...

I have my master server (which is also web and files) and then remotes for servers only. So I am going to have all of my game files on my mater server, in the /GameInstalls/ folder. So, if I go to File Servers under system settings, and do new, I choose my datacenter its in, I set the IP/port/username/pass and the default directory for game files is /Games/. Well when I installed TCAdmin it made /GameInstalls and /UserFiles so, I try changing it to the /GameInstalls folder and I hit save and test, and nothing. I get:

There are no game files or folders at ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:21/GameInstalls/

However, I can change it to say a folder I have for some CSS files (C:\srcds\) and I set the path as /srcds/, save and test and it says ok.

Am I doing something wrong? Also, is "File Server" even what I think it is? (I also check the box Is TCAdmin file server) and it has a link http://www.yourtcafileserver.com/fileserver.aspx which i change the domain portion of to the right info. Also, if i do go to the ftp://etcetc from above to the /GameInstalls foler all the TCAdmin supported games are there, and I even copied in my CSS files to the CSS folder.

Please helppppp!!!

nevermind! i think i figured it out. thats for another location for files... i think ive got it all worked out now though. just gotta figure out how to make remote servers copy files from main server. hm, may just put raw files on each remote so that i dont use so much bandwidth between boxes?

Remotes do not automatically download from the Master. Make sure that in the Master server settings that you have the checkboix marked "Is Master File Server" checked.

Then in the remote server settings select to get the files from a master server and select that server from the dropdown list.

You should also use zip or rar files if you are going to be using the FTP game trnasfer.

I presently do no use the Master File Server feature.

Instead, I have duplicate copies of the /gameinstall folders containing default servers, mods, and maps on the Master Server each Remote Server.

I realize this may require some additional work when updating files, but it seems to me that it would be much faster and less taxing on the involved systems when installing new gameservers and mods this way. Does this sound correct?

As it stands right now, A new CS:S server with my setup takes about 10 minutes to load for a new customer. I cant imagine it would be nearly as fast if done via a Master Server file push to the Remote Server it's installed on.

Just curious.
