Slow FTP

Hi Guys,

 

We are getting slow FTP on one or two of our servers.. All others are perfectly fine but these odd couple take a few minutes to login to FTP let alone actually using it. On the boxes in question it is only using a few % of CPU and memory usage so I'm think it could be corrupt control panel files.

 

Have restarted the control panel (Master and Remotes), MySQL server and still have no luck.

Is it being brute scanned?

What about the network? Is your data center having a network issue that could be slowing your connection and download speeds?

We have 60 other servers on the same network/same DC and they are all running fine. Guessing its the server its self.

Have you tried updating the network card drivers Chris?

we did experience a similar problem and it ended up being network card related. verify your switch settings are correct (same setup on both ends like auto/auto or 100full/100full) and the drivers are updated. careful as remote driver install can be tricky

Try running a speed test on that box from dslreports.com or some other site.
