FFOW requires 3 programs be installed on the server before the game server will run.

1) Microsoft DirectX 9.0c & up http://www.microsoft.com/directx

2) Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 http://www.microsoft.com/net/

3) AGEIA PhysX Drivers http://www.ageia.com/drivers/drivers.html

 

TCAdmin attached below. I tested this config and I was able to join the server. Please not this config was made with the v1.02 hotfix. If you do not have access to the hotfix I am uncertain if this will work for you.

I added the PingRedirectIP=%primaryip% to the command line and added a custom command line parameter that allows a client to specify their starting map.

Hey anyone know if there is a hotfix out for 1.02 for running multiple instances on one box?

 

Seems like a big cloud over that and nobody will answer anything...

 

This is a pretty big problem seems to me for them not to put out a fix directly after the bug was found. I cant see how they didnt realize it while they tested the server files for so long.

 

Everytime i try to run the server with the config vet posted i cant join the server and no ping shows. I think its because of the MultiHomed command arg. How did you get yours to work vet?

Yes there was a hotfix released.

It is in the beta mode and only released to people that have signed an agreement with Kaos not to distribute it. If you want to be allowed to have access to this, you will need to contact someone at Kaos Studios and ask to have access to the hosting section of the forums.

FYI to everyone, DO NOT use the port= or queryport= command line parameters at this time. I forgot to remove it from my config I posted.

FYI the query protocol was created by Kaos Studios from scratch (way after the game was released, lol?) so I don't think any GS variations are going to work. Luis will need to get their spec and build the query type based on what they did I think. Let me know if you need help getting in touch with them.

Do you have access to the TCAdmin beta updates? If not then this command will not work for you.

 

I removed that command line parameter from my command line because I was getting some weird login error in the console. After I removed it, the servers ran fine.

if this uses .net 2.0 will it not conflict with tcadmin's ability to only use .net 1.1 ?

I tested it on 2 machines. The first it did not affect anything, the second made my TCAdmin website to go down. On the 2nd one, I just reran the configuraton utility and it fixed the issue.

Im guessing it will interup the website if you install on the master server only. The remote server though also uses .net 1.1 which is my concern.

 

If you install .net 2.0 wont it overwrite 1.1
