HIS-MOTHER
I Just read somwhere that Southern California residents are driving to Mexico to buy gas, apparently they have a Gov't Subsidy that is keeping it to aroung $2.50 USD per Gallon.
JasonF
Wow. That would be nice to just drive a few miles and cut the price of gas in half.

HGN-Daniel
Wow. That would be nice to just drive a few miles and cut the price of gas in half. Driving across the border is no problem, but expect an hour wait to get back into the US. You'll waste all that money you saved waiting in line.. The gas isn't that good of a quality either.. Todd Holley
Gas would be 2.50 a gallon just like it used to be, but there are a group of billionaires that are hedging oil. I do not fully understand the process but essentially they buy lets say a days supply of oil in barells, which makes it go up then they sell it for profit. We have more supply than demand currently and we always have. Gas will go down when the government stops these guys and makes hedging and other processes illegal. 2 years ago gas changed price by a penny or hlaf a penny. And that was not very often. 2 weeks ago it went down 16 cents in one day! Gas goes up and down so much it is not even funny. My dad owns a medium sized oil company (more specifically gas stations, not drilling/refining) and that is where I would be getting this info from. http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2006/05/29/8378002/index.htm Just google oil hedging to get more info.
