Game Server Hosting Company

We were looking to pickup a server in Chicago and wanted a company running TCadmin because the product owns. We signed up with DarkstarCommunications since they seem to have solid servers and network. Since we signed up we have had nothing but issues with the server and setup. First off they never setup our vent server then when they did it does not showup for control in TCadmin. Then when I had asked to have sourcetv enabled for our matches and they posted back saying it was good to go we ran a league config to test and the server went down due to to many slots and has not come backup yet. That was 11:45am this morning. I have submitted 3 tickets and have had no response and see no other way to get in touch with them. I submitted a ticket today for our own personal TCadmin server and got a response in 5 minutes. I love TCadmin but need to find server hoster that supports their product like TCadmin does. I personally would pull my product from anyone that makes it look bad like the above company if I were TCadmin, but dollars are dollars. I just need to know if there is a company out there running TCadmin with solid servers and a good peered network that we can rent from that will support their product. Please post if you know of one, especially one that will support match servers and SRCTV at a decent price.

 

If no one knows of any TCadmin start hosting and we will use you .

 

PS: I just heard that a couple other clans had rented from the above company recently and are having the same issues.

Good question. When read it the 1st time, I thought he meant a dedicated, now I am wondering.

Seems hes looking for a GSP in the Chicago, IL area running TCA for a game control panel as "the product owns".

 

He notes he ran into some problems with DarkStar and now is looking for some new options but only wants a host that utilizes Tcadmin.

FYI -- From our understanding, there will be a patch released to the game server monitor plugin to allow additional slots to prevent the plugin from completely disabling servers when SourceTV kicks the server up an additional slot (which is what was happening to him).

 

As far as not receiving a response for a while, we were looking into his problems -- but were a bit backed up since a lot of our staff had attended Blizzcon this weekend, so it certainly did take a lot longer to resolve his issue than normal. My guess is his comment about the other clans having issues -- probably had also submitted tickets this weekend, and had them delayed. As of late last night though, he was running back to normal and good to go (so long as we do not turn that plugin on again). We ended up completely disabling the game server monitor plugin on TCADMIN until the patch is released so we can adjust the threshold. We're back to full staff again as of this morning, as most of our staff flew back from Los Angeles late last night, so things are once again calm.
