VicToMeyeZR
ok, everyone says that you can keep a local copy of a game, for your own config instead of on your filesserver. My problem is this never has worked for my UNLESS, the FileServer does in fact have the exact same file. when I am using my one File Server and I have a local game file I get this: Copying game files from ftp server... Rar file exists.... Local file exists with the same size (2.83 GB) and last modified date (10/10/2008 19:30:02) but, if ALL I do is change to a different file server, and get this: GSAutomation.Processes.ReinstallGameServer: Could not copy game server files from ftp: /Games/AA2.8.4.0 to C:\UserFiles\cywranger\GameServers\TC81755232114105712866658 Server: MasterServer Master Server So, the system DOES NOT look at the local first. It looks at the file server, and if you don't have the same file on the files server and local, your screwed? What do I need to do differetly? ECF
TCAdmin compares the 2 files. If they differ in size or date it will grab the one from the fileserver instead of using the local copy. To fix your problem make sure you have the same file in both places.
VicToMeyeZR
So everyone is misinformed then?
ECF
You have that system set to pull files from the Fileserver. If you go into the system settings and remove that association then the server would then pull from the local copy only. In your case the copy on the file server differs from the one on the local server so TCAdmin uses the one of the fileserver over the local copy. JasonF
He has a DC install. He can create custom configs as long as the game files folder does not match the game files folder for other configs. TCAdmin should see that the files are stored locally and he can create game servers from his files in addition to the file server.

JasonF
All I did was rename the folders removing the periods from them, AA2.8.4 to AA2. And unzipped your rar files and put the contents into the C:\GameFiles\AA2 folder.
VicToMeyeZR
hmm. ok. Shouldn't have to unzip it, I guess that's one of the fault of the system..
