just go buy it. if you are selling servers you can write it off as a business expense(not like $50 will get you much...) and you get to play the single player and multiplayer as a bonus. win win situation >.>

that... and for some god forsaken reason you were to get caught and told the feds where you got it... the guy that sent it to you would be roasted.

considering that this is a public forum... >.<

He said he owns it but does not want to upload it. In the 2 days he waited for someone to respond he would have had it on the server already.

note to self: pay attention when i read a thread

curious. why not start the upload and then start asking for someone to do it? part of the files are already there if someone was to agree and would only have to upload part of the game files. and in the event that someone doesnt agree any time soon you already have it uploaded. >.<

Read his post he already owns the game Loading it from my FTP site is not file sharing he has a valid CD key I am just loading the files for him because I can transfer them at 25 MBPS.

And I am sure you won a copy of COD WaW for every server you have it loaded on right.

I don't know about you but loading it from my house to a server took 12 hours and it causes lag on the server while doing the load. So if I could have found someone to load it at 25 MBPS I would have done so.

SickPuppy, keep trying to fool yourself into believing that openly sharing files in a public forum is the same as offering a game panel with game files included.

Also if you upload files to a server and your server lags out, you need to get a better data center.

I purchased from direct2drive, same price as instores, and downloaded it at 1.5MBPS.

Had it on the machines and ready for customer orders less than 2 hours after it was available, which even if I had a 5MBPS line at home still took less time than driving to the store to purchase the game and then creating an image of it for upload.

Simple solution, very effective, and you avoid all this file sharing nonsense.

we already established this... and in actuality you dont need to own a copy on each server hosted. you only need to have one valid copy. if that were the case then TCAdmin would have a disclaimer up stating this to cover their own butts.

talk to your collocation provider. either the machine sucks so hard it cant handle the minuscule amount of processor power required or they arnt giving you crap on bandwidth.

Jason WTF dude, you complaining about someone downloading some files LMAO.

there is no need to get hostile...

@adamnp

i still like having a hard copy. nothing like having a file system on a storage drive say 'FU!' and losing all the data requiring a redownload of it all. (actually this happened to the system i use for data storage just last week. was only able to recover part of the drive :( )

Adam, Did you have to overwrite the game's exe with a CD/DVD install to prevent it from trying to activate the copy?

I'll second the living next to the datacenter, about 30 mins to buy and setup the game server :D Add to that I've used datacenter on a couple occasions for large downloads I've had to do (downlod only games, and copies of OS)

Direct2drive is a nice site, but be carefull there have been several problems in the past with there copies not working for dedicated game server creation. So you could be wasting time and money times 2 (one for the game two for the bandwidth)
