(1) Download and install the free dedicated server files on your server - http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/files/Star_Wars_Battlefront/Official_Releases/Server_Files;4563

(2) Put the files in the following folder:

*:\GameInstalls\SWBF

(3) Rename the battlefront server.exe to battlefront_server.exe.

(4) Upload the attached TCAdmin config that I made to your System Settings >> Supported Game section

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTEs:

This game ONLY runs on the dedicated server's primary IP address and it auto-increments the ports.

The following line must NOT be modified in the battlefront_server.ini

AUTO_RESTART=1

after executing the battlefront_server.exe, it will automatically spawn the battlefront.exe server as long as that config variable stays the same.

Arise from the dead...

I have this successfully working. Is kicking/banning of players not possible when run via TCadmin?

I can get a player list, but I'm not seeing options/actions to perform on them.

Thanks for any input.

TCAdmin doesn't support the enginie/game although I could be wrong.

Not sure what you mean by support the engine/game.

It does run in Tcadmin. Start/Stop, player list, map info etc.

However, the game was not developed to actually use rcon or something similar. I've researched around since my post and seems like an old site something ... ops.org might have had a admin server tool.

I was just curious if someone really smart around here, devised a tool, has it maybe, that was integrated w/ Tcadmin or something else.

Otherwise, for admin purposes running it via Tcadmin is worthless. You have to fire up the GUI, and then you have access to kick/ban.

Thanks and I hope some older memories are jogged, cobwebs shaken loose.

"Is there anyway to control the server remotely?

No"

"Are there console commands from within the game?

No"

"Is there a 3rd Party Server Manager/Remote Manger?

No.

Both the developers who made managers for Battlefield and Battlefield Vietnam (Black Bag Ops) have expressed interest, but due to the lack of RCON controls within the game prevent any development at this point"

Thanks for the assistance.

I commented on searching and arrived already to what Axis Posted prior to reviving this thread. ;)

I didn't come across what Mother found. Much appreciated and I'll check it out as well as report if its usable.
