I have it installed and 1 server running i created an A record to point to the IP how ever when i try and access, teamspeak.mydomain.com it brings me to the tcadmin login i can access the teamspeak login by teamspeak.mydomian.com:14534 Just wondering how can i have it access just by the domian name without the numbers on the end ? studeggle
DNS does not have the functionality to point to a port.. It resolves names to IP. So you would need to reconfigure teamspeak to run on port 80. Or I you could use some additional hardware or software to direct port 80 traffic to a different port. P.S. The reason switching to port 80 would work when DNS is only pointing to an IP is web browsers default to this port unless told overwise with the colon and port number in the url. Steven Crothers
Its in the teamspeak ini file. Set the ports there to how you want. Then just map an a record to the IP. IE: teamspeak-chi.you.com -> teamspeak ip

Dan M
That means port 80 is already in use, nothing wrong with the teamspeak config, most likely in use by TCAdmin as you stated it was hosted on the main IP.
MjrNuT
Hi there i just testing out team speak. Cheers I have read your thread and wanted to see if I can help along w/ the others. To clarify, every application has a default port to run on, unless explicty changed. TCadmin on port 80. Don't have to specify that port when putting the IP or the domain name in the browser. Teamspeak for access to connecting to the server for voice communications, the default port is 8767. Teamspeak for access to the administration is 14534. Now, you want a domain name to service what part of Teamspeak access? In either case, your web host (apache, IIS, etc.) has to be configured to receive such requests and know where to point them, whether default ports or not. eg. default TCAdmin http://www.tcadmin-mydomain.com default TS VS http://www.tsvs-mydomain.com default TS Admin http://www.tsadmin-mydomain.com port 800 TCAdmin http://www.tcadmin-mydomain.com:800 port 8794 TS VS http://www.tsvs-mydomain.com:8794 (assuming a VS has been setup to run on that port) port 5000 TS Admin http://www.tsadmin-mydomain.com:5000 (assuming the ini file is configured for this.)
