auto download for games?

in Steam Update Settings

 

i have placed hldsupdatetool.exe in monitor folder

 

username and password is blank, it does not show an update button

 

also got a question about the linux settings

 

using now as default ./steam

 

but using windows 2003 so is it required to use it?

Try checking the settings in the game configuration file for that game. Make sure that you have Steam Update allowed for admins and users.

 

Leave the ./steam as it is.

got the problem now with game server, it says not responding? while it is running

 

also about the auto download, will there appear a button or something? or it will do it automatic?

Why don't you put -autoupdate on the end of the command line. It will automaticly update the server if the update is available.

That only works for linux dedicated servers.

Is there a way to make Steam Update run on all servers for a certain game, or all games? Would be useful in off hours.

Schedule a bat to run with scheduled tasks. Just takes a couple seconds to setup.

 

Nope nothing in tcadmin, aside from doing an update patch then apply to all.

Ah the update patch would be a good idea, didn't think to do it for srcds.

Scheduled tasks would be a pain after a certain amount of game servers I believe.

Maybe have it as a secondary app ?
