Im a Sourcemod developer and forum moderator, and all I can say is it would be a good idea to "suggest" to your clients if the opportunity presents itself to move to SM. Right now its the only source admin mod that is being actively developed and supported. Mani's site has been hacked and hasnt been fixed for days either.

People should be moving away from Mani anyway. It's died once or twice already and tried to resurrect... its still in the 1.2.x beta stages, and it has been for well over 2.5 years.

I don't get why so many servers still use Mani, I guess it's because it had everything one one rather than SourceMod's modular system (hence the existance of the CSS pack for those that want a drop in Mani replacement).

Sourcemod is the way scriptkiddies like to lag servers with their script. I dislike the interface aswell.

Sourcemod is not a scriptkiddies tool? Where ever you heard that from is lieing to you. The interface is customizable. You should check it out versus mani, since it is quite a bit newer then mani.

I agree with Steven. Sourcemod is highly optimised and the interface is exactly the same as mani, using the VGUI menus. It's also much more customisable than mani and much more than a simple admin mod.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mani just redirected his website to Sourcemod after this attack.

Would do the world good heh. I'll admit to not using SM when I should have been, but with its development cycles being quicker then mani, and exploits being patched quicker then mani its really a no brainer to me.
