Server protect?

Hi All,

 

Is there any software or script's which are preventing attacks on game servers.

One of my customer's said that someone is crashing his server every day for couple times.

 

I think they maybe flood the port or?

 

If any ideas, thanks.

One crash technique that I have personally noticed was that the spammer would come in game and play a high pitch and it would kick everyone with some overflow error and the server would crash.

That could help increase security?? I cannot believe that there doesnt exist a script or something which can protect from such things

All or most gameservers have exploits.

 

Patch them to the latest version and then search the communities for exploit fixes for each specific game.

 

There is no universal fix for ALL gameserver exploits.

Wich game ? I made a security for CS:S that prevent time left / next map flood crash from mani admin.

Its call of duty, I'm ih game hosting for a while So I'm familiar with exploits, but never found the cure

It pretty big problem because i heard that my competiton have some script for that...

And I cant belive that you at defcon dont have protection for that....

that sounds like the one for AA3. you can crash anyones server for AA3 with one little query

I found that program that actually installs on your computer, then in game you need to type

exec crash.cfg

 

I opened that cfg and inside was this

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
