Dedicated Server Page

Its the page for providers who went though an application process with TCAdmin and were approved for a datacenter license.

We have been trying to get re-added to that page for awhile but know that they are quite busy with 2.0.

I would also assume they do not want a million resellers since this will create more headaches than what it is worth. IMO the people on that list have been using TCAdmin for a long time and are very knowledgeable about the product. This results in less tickets put into TCAdmin to resolve issues on their data center installs.

It just seems like the list is very small and missing a few bigger players that use tcadmin. ubiquityservers/darkstar - colocrossing/velocity.

Not all clients on that page are Datacenter licensees. We do hand pick clients for addtion to that page.

There are a number of factors that we look at before adding a client to that page such as location, size of company, years in business etc... Basically you would need to be a solid established GSP that has been around for a while, and be willing to offer "User Assigned" dedicated servers with TCAdmin, or offer dedicated servers with our Datacenter product along with them as an option.

We also require that you are a registered business, and that you own your servers and do not rent them from a third party.

Understandably everyone would like to be on the page for free advertising, but the clients we list there reflect directly on us, so we choose carefully.

It has been in the back of my mind to go through the page again and remov the dead companies and add some more. Hopefully I can get to it soon.

Thanks for the post, although there is one thing that shouldnt be there.

If you own all your hardware, other providers feel that renting is a better option for there business and in no way should reflect how "legit" there business is or how large there business is. We own 75% of our hardware but I would like to defend the providers that do rent there hardware for there business.

Well everything is not set in stone. Again we do go through each application by hand to feel out the client.

Our major worry is that the client knows enough about our product to properly support the end user because our name is right there on the login page :)

We do have a few clients that rent servers. However we find that unless they have quite a few they cannot compete pricewise with the larger companies that own their own racks/servers and have bandwidth commits.

Anyone else notice the irony in that?

Not at all, I think you are missinterpreting solid.

Solid doesn't mean will be in bussiness until the end of time.

It means the chance of them going belly up leaving customers high and dry is smaller. They are still free to sell out for liquidity, or change target markets, or decide they no longer like the profit margin... Any number of legit reasons for a solid company to close there doors, but they will ussually do so in a proper fasion honering there comittments.
