Server .dll Extension Not Working (After Taken Off)

Ive taken the .dll extension off the restricted list. but it still doesnt not allow the upload via ftp or via file manager.

Nope, and I really would not remove .dll extensions from the restricted list. Your just asking for trouble.

Allowing someone to upload a dll file can compromise the servers security and allow them to run shell commands on the box.

Since TCAdmin runs servers under an account that has Administrator privileges, if you allow any DLLs to be uploaded a user could upload a DLL that directly executes system commands, such as adding a new user to connect via remote desktop or formatting the drive.

 

Therefore, it's a very good idea to block DLL uploads.

Use the MOD feature of TCAdmin to allow users to install MODs.
