Team Fortress 2 and Steam update

I read through the forums and tried a few things but the update is still not working.

 

I have copied the hldsupdatetool to the Monitor folder on each remote, but I still come up with a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

 

Can you tell me what I might be missing?

Try restarting the monitor.

On the master or remote side?

I did it on both sides with no luck.

Did you install the HLDSUpdatetool to a server then take the HLDSUpdatetool.exe that it creates and place it in the monitor folder? Or did you download the tool from Valve's website and simply place it in there?

 

This is a common mistake we have seen in the past.

i got another one maybe somebody can help?

 

having a problem where if we run the steam update on server the default config doesnt seem to load. it just goes back to default tf2 config settings.
