COD 4 - Killhouse

Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone has seen this problem.. and if they found a solution to it

COD 4 server, works perfectly fine... until you select Killhouse map.

The splash screen comes up for killhouse for about 5 seconds, then dies and reverts back to the start of the game, Ie, backlot.. Broadcast etc etc.. Killhouse will not load for the love of the money!

What i have tried

1 - re-copied the kilhouse files from an FTP source ... still nothing

2 - Trashed the Server Config Files thinking something in there has been inadvertently changed - Still nothing

3 - Created a whole new Server, with killhouse as its first map load on server start.. try to join i get connection timeout, change the first server load to backlot - server works and can join it within seconds. map rotate it to killhouse - server dies and goes back to the first line of the server start..

Im kinda running outta ideas fast here. anyone else seen this problem?

Please help

Paul

Please find attached the complete server config

See if you can spot anything in there thats been checked by accident..

Server runs perfect well wil 0 errors but Killhouse is the main problem

I'm swining more toward the 3 Killhouse files been corrupt somehow

Killhouse.ff

MP_killhouse.ff

mp_killhouse_load.ff

Thank you

P.s its a pretty standard Config file, that had no real adjustment to it.. also a testing server for us.. to break the config as much as you want :D

btw, you should delete "set sv_master7 "clanservers.net" " in your configuration file unless you like making GameServers some "I have 20 000 players on my network" :-P

// Master servers

set sv_master1 "cod2master.activision.com"

set sv_master2 "cod2authorize.activision.com"

set sv_master3 "cod2master.infinityward.com"

set sv_master3 "cod2update.activision.com"

set sv_master4 "master.gamespy.com:28960"

set sv_master5 "master0.gamespy.com"

set sv_master6 "master1.gamespy.com"

set sv_master7 "clanservers.net"

set sv_gamespy "1"

I also had this kind of problem but with BF2 and it was because i was not uploading in "binary" with FileZilla ... check that ...

As a previous employee of Gameservers.com, I don't recommend you do what agentpr24 says... since he obviously doesn't know what its used for.

Steven Crothers, since i have no idea what im talking about ... could you explain to me why there is "set sv_master7 "clanservers.net"" in the COD4:MW configuration file. :-)

It's a leftover from cod2. The master servers are hardcoded into COD4 and can be removed completely from the config . ;)
