FTP server not starting

Hi,

 

 

 

We have run into a strange problem.

 

 

 

When we try to connect to the FTP server, we get a timeout. It looks like the FTP server is not started.

 

 

 

If we stop the monitor service and run it from the console, we can see it starting the FTP server and we can connect without a problem. However, that's not a workable situation because we need to have the monitor running as a service.

 

 

 

After closing the monitor command box, and starting as a service, FTP is once again not possible.

 

 

 

I hope this makes sense to someone.

For any one else having this problem:

 

 

 

Windows Firewall was enabled and only MonitorConsole.exe was added to the exceptions. Adding MonitorService.exe to the exceptions fixed this problem.
