Best way to switch TS2 to TS3.

Whats the best way going about changing clients from TS2 to TS3 ?

Do you mean a logical method or physical method?

 

Logical: Tell them that TS2 is old, it's full of bugs and that TS3 is much better. TS2 is also unsupported.

 

Physical: There is no physical way to transfer a server over from TS2 to TS3 without starting from scratch. Unless of course somebody sits there for hours making a conversion for the SQLite database

yeah, thats what we are of course doing but was hoping for a reinstall from ts2 to ts3

We're currently moving people over as and when they ask. It would be nice to have a "1 click remove TS2 and create TS3 server with similar settings" button, but I doubt we'll see such a thing.

The funny thing, TeamSpeak was supose to give some info about a migration TS2/TS3 tool and i never got news on it.

That migration tool will probably be released when teamspeak 3 STABLE is released, You need to remember it’s still in BETA and currently there number 1# priority is ironing out bugs then they'll work on these features like a migration tool I would expect
