DougK94
Has anyone tried Windows Server 2003 64 bit with TCA and any games? I will be getting some new servers and wondering if I should try it or just stick with the tried and true 32 bit OS.
LFA
64 bit works fine. Just make sure you install the .net 1.1 framework and then the .net 1.1 service pack.
DougK94
OK thanks Are you planning to upgrade to 2.0, knowing Microsoft, they will probably remove the download for 1.1 sometime in the near future.
LFA
When they come out with .NET 2.1 or a service pack I'll start switching. I would rather have other people debug it
DougK94
LOL.....I do not blame you. Too bad MS did not made it backwards compatable.... Typical for them.
LFA
It is backwards compatible in theory but it doesn't always work A remote monitor running on .NET 2.0 will start up correctly and connect to the master but they you start seeing some strange errors. RRxMEZ
I am running it with Enemy Territor servers and BF2 all seems well
ECF
64 bit will work fine for masters and remotes. However if you install the TCAdmin website to a 64 bit server, you must change IIS to run in 32 bit mode. That's the only hitch we have seen.
