GrossKopf
Hello. I rent a dedicated box for the exclusive purpose of hosting an admin tool for BC2. With most installations of this program, everything runs just fine, but I've found SOME instances that require me to check "Interact with desktop" in order for them to work right. Without that checked, I can't connect to the tool that is running on the box. If I check it, I can connect again. The ones that require Interact with desktop are not configured or set up any differently than the others and are running the same versions of the program. Any idea what could cause this? adamnp
Hi mate, By checking the 'allow interact with desktop' you are in essence allowing that particular application to 'access' the desktop whilst processing the application. If the desktop is required to fulfill the application, and it isn't present the application will in essence open and immediately close. There are also differences between how Interact with desktop works on Server 2003, and Server 2008. Last piece of advice, for the quickest responses and answers to your questions be sure to use the search feature! TCAdmin has been around for a while now, and most questions have already been discovered and reported on. goodluck!
ECF
That is a weird problem. However without knowing what the program is etc.. it might just be easier to checdk them all to interact with the desktop. This might save you the hassel of troubleshooting them.
