Mago, have you ever setup a server under tcadmin? As setting up a server is about the same for every game. Start with installing the game files under the correct folder. Which is default c:\gameinstalls\<gamename>

Defaul Command Line =-game tf-console + ip%-hostport serverip%%% + serverport maxplayers% slots% + exec server.cfg + map ctf_2fort

 

Private Command Line =-game tf-console + ip%-hostport serverip%%% + serverport maxplayers% slots% + exec server.cfg + map ctf_2fort

 

Custom Command Line:-console-game tf + ip%-hostport serverip%%% + serverport maxplayers slots%%%% usercmdline

Private Custom Command Line:-console-game tf + ip%-hostport serverip%%% + serverport maxplayers slots%%%% usercmdline

 

Steam Game Type: tf

 

This works, but this configuration is correct?

If I recall correctly the game type should be -game TF2 not -game tf in the commandline.

Nope, the commandline setting for TF2 is tf and for classic it is tfc. It is rather strange thought.

Yeah it is confusing at times, would be nice if it was the same as the actual game (css, tf2, l4d, l42, etc.) good thing for the added list of games when using the help for hldsupdatetool to help out though.

If you run the tool via a .bat file without a game set it will list all the games with the exact spelling of it needed.
