Game Server Booking System

yah, dimitri was selling a script to kinda do what you are talking about -- Not really an account "booking" system --

- Sell game servers running during slack hours only : automatic creation game server that are started/stopped on scheduled hours.

With this you can fill your unused machines during slack hours (exemple from 5 am to 5pm) and you can even choose to stop game servers on certain day(s). Users will not be able to start their servers during the rest of the time

Allways wondered how people think they can make a profit selling single hrs? Given current prices you couldn't expect to sell a hr slot for much more then perhaps a buck, and then from that buck you have transaction fees charged by most fund sources. But to each there own.

I'd suggest contacting Demitri if you're serious about it as it shouldn't be that far a leap from what he allready has too what you want.

One option might be to just duplicate the product several times for each hr during times you figure will be booked and then set the script up repeatedly configured to 1hr increments.

I made this for MPUK with there team, worked 100% but there one didnt you a pay system, But i would be willing to improve on it.

I didnt know people needed this or i would have offered it to tcadmin to use with there product.

I will talk to MPUK if they dont mind me working to make a public relese.

might work in some countries or on some games.

the script i made is not for a single hour rent, server gets enabled/disabled on scheduled days and at scheduled hours. Thats more to fill ur machines when they are unused.

And considering the time taken to create a cod4 server for exemple you can hardly rent on the fly for an hour unless you got servers already made and a salesman behind PC 24/7.

I'm interested to know who you are at MPUK?

Multiplay use a PERL backend for their gameserver management, as such if you did make a script like this, it would require heavy modification from PERL into ASP.

Why would you even want to try to sell game servers by the hour

One reason could be, if your company’s servers went down for maintenance one evening, and the clan needed a match that evening, they could purchase a temporary server from another company for a couple of hours

If one of our servers go down and will remain down for more than 24 hours we set up free temporary servers for those customers.
