firearms: source

After failing at creating my config, I decided to look at how my css and tf2 configs were built and follow them. And what do you know I managed to get the firearm source config to work and server working .

 

Here is my config I used, it used fpsbooster settings also so change as needed, hope this helps all who want to run a Firearms: Source dedicated server :-D.

Edit :

 

- Correction : hldsupdatetool is orangebox.

- Tested up to 1000fps.

- Maxplayers is 33.

 

Installation :

 

1. hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game orangebox -dir c:/GameInstalls/FAS

2. Copy your fas folder you downloaded from the Official Website into c:/GameInstalls/FAS/orangebox/

3. Install the Patchs (1.0a and 1.0b)

4. Run it thru TCAdmin the way EvilLinux said above.

5. Have Fun !!

 

PS: If not allowed to post this little guide here, please, simply remove it.

Totally welcome, I'm building out all kinds of new configs as games come so be sure to check for my posts, glad to be of help .
