wheres the advertising forum?

I doubt it's a temporary issue.....

I've read posts where ECF repeatedly told people to behave or the forum would be removed. With all the flaming going (mainly US people for some reason?!), I kinda got a feeling it has been removed by ECF.

I have found it funny how newcomers try to advertise, but keep being ganked by "oldtimers"....

The ad forum will most likely be removed for good. To much BS going on in it. It is intact, I just hid it from all users.

any way to get it back for a few days before hiding/removing it? Cuz i didnt know it would be removed and i got some data/contacts id like to copy.

Else why not banning ppl who break the rules ? Cuz right now its like every1 gets punished for the few ppl who abused.

I would have to agree with Dimitrifrom31, there was a lot of good deals offered and insight, what DC and equipment they used.

I would rather see the people that caused the issue go, if not they will just move it to another section.

Simply come up with something as Vbulletin.org do you need to enter your licence to be able to use or certain parts the forums.

The reason I've only started posting because of the V2 forum, it would not affect me if the forums where restricted.

I will give it some thought folks. The reason I hid it suddenly is the current BS going on between a few people. The problem with banning users is they will simply come back under a new username. Even if we ban by IP, everyone here can simply use a proxy server and they are right back in.

I guess in hindsight that is not fair to all users since I know the ad forum is a valuable tool for many of you here. But we simply cannot have all the bullshit going on.

Let me think of some ideas to keep the forum on track and we will take it from there.

Maybe I can allow users to locak there own threads, thus leaving communications to email between parties. Just one of my thoughts so far....

I will unhide the forum later tonight so people can collect any info they want. However, anyone that even comes close to posting a flame will be banned.

You could just simply set the advertising forum to approve by moderator, and then assign a couple competent non-biased figures to simply approve the posts. While this might seem like something sour, it is indeed the majority of traffic here (Which is a good thing), and some people just need to grow a bit thicker skin -- Look at the WHT forums, they still operate and there is shit talking nearly in every thread.

Many of us sit here daily and could easily accommodate this task if it's something TCA didn't care to take of.

Or for the people not following the rules, null their TCA license after a couple of warnings

Several are no longer TCA owners, plus that's hurting TCA as well as the individual being naughty.

I vote for a few approved moderators, and the self lock option if possible I think would also be beneficial.

OK. I have unhidden the ad forums. I have allowed the OP to lock thier own threads. So please when posting an offer provide a way for potential customers to contact you in the post and then lock the thread.

Hopefully this will stop the sillyness. Also be aware that anyone flaming in the ad forums will have their forum account deleted and banned.
