ViolentCrimes Posted April 29, 2011 Share Posted April 29, 2011 TCAdmin Version: 2.0.18.0 Operating System: Debian Squeeze, 64 bit, Stock Kernel customized for 1000Hz Machine Specs: Dual X5472 @ 3.00GHz, 8GB Database Type: mysql Observed: Loss of terminal cursor in console running monitor-console or serviceman-console, after application shutdown. Expected: Cursor is reactivated. To reproduce: 1. follow linux installation instructions. 2. After step "Click on Finish to apply your configuration and restart the monitor", check the console running monitor-console, cursor is gone. LFA Posted April 29, 2011 Share Posted April 29, 2011 I know this happens when you update tcadmin while running in console mode. It is because the console app is waiting for input. The update process kills the console causing the cursor loss. To fix just execute a reset command. For the updatetool you just need to press enter. I will add a message in the next update.
