shell script using system variables ?

Hello,

 

I'm trying to create some shell script, but I stuck in this step.

 

I wish to create a file in a directory.

 

Nothing hard using cat or any text editor, but when I try to give him a custom name, in relation with my customer, I don't know how to do it :/

 

I looked after some variable like

$params["serverusername"]

or

$serverusername

or

$mycustomvariable

without success ...

 

So if anyone know how to do that ?

 

The way to use thoses types of system variable, and the list can be usefull for me, so if anyone have the list of some informations to help me, I will be happy
