What This Script Does

This script attaches a MySQL database to a game server which is automatically created, deleted, reinstalled and moved alongside the normal game server itself.

 

When a server is created, a MySQL database is also created and credentials are put into the mysql.properties config file.

When a server is deleted, the MySQL database is dropped.

When a server is reinstalled, the MySQL database is dropped, and recreated.

When a server is moved, the MySQL database is dumped to file, and then recreated and imported when it gets to the destination.

 

Installation

Installing is as simple as running 1 command on the master server, entering the game id and mysql root password and it's installed and ready for use.

 

Requirements

- Linux

- MySQL (apt-get install mysql-server, on every server that hosts MySQL games)

Kind of odd that it's only for the Linux platform, when hosting Minecraft on a Windows platform runs 99% better than hosted on Linux (I know, I was surprised as well, it's thing in the world better hosted on windows.).

Wierd, it was completly oposite when I tried Minecraft on Windows.
