Say i have a Intel Quad-Core Xeon e5420 16GB Ram Two SAS HD's or Xeon E3-1270v2 16GB Ram Two SAS HD's Problem is because i use to do this back in the day around 2008 so im not up to date with whats the top right now. So what do server companies use these days? And how much could each of those hold total? I mean to start out maybe the first but eventually go on to more powerful. ECF Posted October 31, 2012 Share Posted October 31, 2012 All depends on mods, tickrates for HL2. Too many variables there. All BF games are now ranked which means you must be a ranked partner with EA/DICE in order to host them. You will have to do your own internal testing to see what games take what resources nowadays.
