ocnetworks
Guy's, i have tried to help you with a config and i am just getting nothing back. Arma 3 Epoch requires arma 3 to run so that is why the relative executable is "arma3server.exe" and the steam app id is "107410" because arma 3 is the base files for Epoch
Dennis
I was talking to NoDoze. He was wondering if this was for Arma3, I told him it was.
ocnetworks
No it is for Arma 3 Epoch
Dennis
Holy geez, just forget it. Epoch uses Arma3 to start. NoDoze was wondering if the config was for Arma 3 since it uses the app id for the game and not the server. I told him the app id was for Arma 3. We've been talking about the app id... ocnetworks
<relative_executable>arma3server.exe</relative_executable> Unless there's some script that renames the executable file, this is for Arma 3. I did and your words state that it is for Arma 3 so i am just correcting you.
NoDoze
Woa...! Didn't mean to rock the boat. I was just curious about the appid. I've been using the server appid and didn't know the game files also included the server files. We all understand epoch is a mod of arma 3. That wasn't being questioned. NoDoze
I just wanted to be clear because there is also an Arma 2 Epoch mod. This is for the Arma 3 Epoch mod.
ocnetworks
Yes this is setup for Arma 3 Epoch, if you need any help with the files i can do that for you no problem. Arma 2 Epoch dose have a similar setup and i have them configs from years ago if you need them as we do not support A2 any more.
Dennis
I did and your words state that it is for Arma 3 so i am just correcting you. Oh my... He wanted to know if this was for Arma 2 or Arma 3, I just went ahead and said it was for Arma 3 because the executable file and the app ID says Arma 3. I really don't see any problem besides the fact that you completely misunderstood the situation.
ocnetworks
No you misunderstood the situation and i corrected you, please just leave it now if this is the welcome i get for helping people then please do not reply to my threads dennis. No Dennis, Arma 3 Epoch runs from Arma 3 no ? so this is not an Arma 3 config it is an Arma 3 Epoch config and if you are going to be so negetive i will not bother to upload any more configs! I didn't misunderstand a single thing. I told him it was for the Arma 3 version of Epoch. You made a scene by saying you wouldn't upload any more configs, even though I just said the exact same thing as you did.

NoDoze
Does this work with the Redis server? Whats the Redis Server...? I see it now in the files.
Dennis
It's a really stupid type of database (kinda like MySQL) that needs to run along with the server. It's stupid because you need to start it along with the server... Kinda weird
NoDoze
Oh. So a MySQL DB isn't needed...? I already have a remote MySQL DB setup for hive stuff.
Dennis
I'm not sure MySQL is supported by Epoch. I've talked with two guys saying it wasn't. I'm not really into all this Arma3 stuff, so I could be wrong.
NoDoze
Hmmm...arma 2 supports mysql, so I hope arma 3 does! LOL
Dennis
Oh, yeah the game might do, but some mods don't. I haven't had any luck finding a way to make Epoch work with MySQL... But I haven't really searched for a method either, so that might be why I was just told it wasn't supported.

ocnetworks
Yea Dennis is right, Arma 3 Epoch will not work with MYSQL, you need to have redis enabled on the server for now but hopefully they will include MYSQL support soon.
NoDoze
I can confirm this Arma 3 Epoch config DOES work! Thanks!

Gary - NoLagZ
Hi All, Attached is my config for dayz / Epoch. There are additional scripts for database creation deletion etc these need to be configured to the database you are using. I use mysql on IIS on a Windows 2012 Server. I have also used Windows 2008 Server running Xampp / Maria etc. I have included additional config cmd lines for overpoch / Epoch you need to know how to setup the server before blaming these. They are examples that work providing your directories are the same! *** From my experience of Arma Servers if you are not sure use the RPT logs to see what is happening, a lot can be found out there! ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** If you do not know how to setup a server read the info on the net the Arma2 and Arma2 OA need to be merged after running each program as per instructions on net or your server will not work. Once you have a working config directory copy it and use a new one for trials as if you break it you have a fall back that worked!!!
