Surf3rDud3
I get this when starting the left4dead2 service. And I get an email saying the query port failed. I tried changing the port but no luck. I took the command line used in TCAdmin and just ran it manually on my box and it started up. This is the console. Server is hibernating ConVarRef test_progression_loop doesn't point to an existing ConVar Parent cvar in server.dll not allowed (spit_scaling_min_scale) Game supporting (2) split screen players maxplayers set to

So you don't get a reply for two days on the COMMUNITY forum and now you spew this negativity already? Wrong attitude there, buddy.
Surf3rDud3
I'm not trying to be mean just thought the forums would be more active seeing that the panel is popular but I guess not. So I'm sorry for coming off as a jackass. Anyways I'll just keep looking for a fix until someone may know the answer and post here. Thanks. You are using the steamcmd version of l4d2 yeah? (not sure if it was actualized to it) Also post the commandline, just in case.
Surf3rDud3
Yes I am using SteamCMD. Commandline: -console -condebug -game left4dead2 -secure -port 27015 +ip 192.223.31.113 -maxplayers 8 +map c1m1_hotel +exec server.cfg
Raizio
What if you run it manually outside of tcadmin and try to join the game via console? Try port 27035 just to see how that fairs. Also, if server is Windows(seems like it) get TCPView, see if ports are actually being bound to the exe
Surf3rDud3
I've done this outside of TCAdmin and it works with the same command line. I can connect and everything. TCAdmin not so much. Ill get TCPView and take a look.
Surf3rDud3
Looks like the process isnt even showing in TCPView. I guess that means its not binding that port?
Raizio
Sort TCPView on port just incase and have a look. You're using the exact same commandline via RDP CMD? Then it should do fine in TCAdmin as well.
Surf3rDud3
Yeah i'm using the same commandline manually. I'm in the same boat. I dont understand why its not working. Lol.

Surf3rDud3
If anyone else is having this problem you need to right click the srcds.exe file and set the compatibility for ALL USERS which is a button at the bottom of the Compatibility Tab. I set mine to Windows XP SP3 and it worked. I wish they added a option in TCAdmin to switch on Compatibility Mode but I don't know if that's possible.
