DDoS (not DoS) is hundreds of IP's - you don't "just" null route them

Then you're getting some services that others aren't. For a couple of days ago, we we're offline for 5-6 hours do to a kid launched an attack on our website. We couldn't access our server at all, and no packets out of 10000 made it through. I emailed Hetzner, and they said we could only wait for the attack to be over. Then they disabled (I think they null routed all traffic) our IP. They don't offer any DDoS protection, and I have several emails from them stating that they don't.

What host are you using? Are they going to null route hundreds of IP's?

If the attack is big enough, there's no firewall in the world that can help you out.

We're not using IPTables. Everything works well, and our servers hasn't been under attack yet. The only server that has been under attack, is a server that's not protected. And btw, 9 year old kids can DDoS by entering a IP in a stresser.

We're moving everything to a server that has DDoS protection, regardless if we use Windows, Linux or any other OS.
-
Hi forum, Our master server (Windows) is not protected against DDoS, so we're thinking about moving to a new server which run Ubuntu. I just took a look at the TCAdmin folder, and the size is 165GB. The userfiles is about 127GB (16 services). We wanna use SSD, as we're hosting Minecraft servers, but we only have 2x 120GB of space. I don't have much knowledge for Linux, but I was told that the files wouldn't be that big on Linux. Is that right? Would we be able to move the server, or do we need more space?

Anyone who can help?

That should be saved in the database, if I'm correct.

Yup, and it keeps giving the same error.

Hi When trying to install KF on Windows, it says that I don't have a subscription (logged in as anonymous). If I tried installing on Linux, it said There is an error in XML document (21, 37). There is an error in XML document (21, 37). What's causing this?

Looking for some one to set up my TCAdmin (PAID)

Maybe I can help. What do you need help with? -
We haven't enabled slot detection for Minecraft because we want the user to have to option select whatever number of slots he need. However, if he does change the number of slots allowed, it's all changed back to the original number, unless an admin change it in the 'Actions' tab. Is there a way to do so the settings aren't reverted? Thanks in advance.

Using TCAdmin on Linux with a Windows master server
Dennis replied to Dennis's topic in Linux Support
K, thanks for the answer, mate. -
At first I thought it was a problem with my browser, but a client told me that his page was messed up. When he cleared the cache, it was gone.

Using TCAdmin on Linux with a Windows master server
Dennis replied to Dennis's topic in Linux Support
Doesn't that require that the servers are in the same datacenter? -
Hi Some of our clients aren't the best at using FTP, so they use the File Manager from the control panel. Some of them have asked if it would be possible to move files in the file manager at some point? I can't really see, why, but I promised to ask if this can be possible at some point. Cheers

There's also something wrong in Chrome. If you refresh a page in the control panel, the page will look messed up. You'll have to clear cache before it looks fine again. No problems in Firefox, though.
