Game Server Mover Question

Hi Guys,

 

 

 

(Sorry didn't see anything on this in user guide, or on forum).

 

 

 

When using the Game Server Mover function, does it actually try and FTP/Copy the complete gamefiles from one server to another?

 

 

 

I'm sure it can't as for a game like Farcry which is 3Gb, this would kill the server.

 

 

 

If it doesn't then does it transfer their games config file, and any additional files they've added, or do we do that manually?

 

 

 

Its not a problem, but I just want to be clear exactly what is, and what isn't moved.

From what I belive it FTPs it accross.. zips it up as well.

The mover simply zips the directory up and pushes it across via FTP. Then when it reaches its destination it unzips the files and creates the windows service for it.

after moving the files it parses the default configuration files for that game and changes the ip and port to the new values.
