Is there a config our yet for the quake wars beta?

There are no beta server files out yet. The beta servers are being run by authorized ranked providers.

Is quake wars going to just like BF2 and BF2142? Will the little guy be screwed up the a-hole once more? Looks like MyIS and Hypernia are the only ones hosting the ranked servers in the USA. Will clients only be able to buy ranked from them or will this be something anyone can run?

 

Maybe its the wrong place for this, but I cant seem to find answers anywhere.

We are in talks with the licening company now for ranked Status. It is a "closed" program for now. Only a few limited companies will be provided ranked status.

There will be a time that a game comes out, as ranked, and GSPs flock to pay the ranked status fees only to have the game fall flat on its face and the GSPs will lose a lot of money. Just a matter of time.

I dont think this will "kill the game" so much as just allow the "big boys" to get bigger. Theres no help for the medium sized guys. But i can tell ya if your intrested contact them...its a start.

I have not heard any news on ranked for Crysis. If you have any links please post them.

Crysis is not going to be ranked (allegedly)... although EA are the only ones hosting beta servers... I know someone who works at Crytek and got the info from them..

Hopefully there will be a decent dedicated server package for it when they do finally release the game.

Sorry to be a pain, but is anyone working on a config or have one to share? This is my first time looking for a config which isn't up yet so I don't know how long it takes.

Doesn't work, cause "GSAutomation.Processes.CreateGameServer: Game does not have any default config files configured."

You need to locate what file the server settings are in and create a file link to them in the game config, along with a template file for it.

Ok I got it working and it installs now, what do I set game server compatibility to?

There is none. The game is not released yet. But you may want to try Quake 4. That may work.
