MonsterDK
I have TC Admin on a basic dedicated server. I can host the likes of Counter Strike source. But this does not require the GUI game to be loaded as no doubt you will know. My server does not have a DX 9 compat card in it. Is there any dedicated option that means I can host a CoD 4 server with TC Admin... or even at all?
ECF
Yes, you can host COD4 servers as a dedicated server.
MonsterDK
Yes, you can host COD4 servers as a dedicated server. How is this possible without needing to route through the game itself? As I can't actually load the game on the server as it just gives me the DX error.
JasonF
you need to install dx9 on the server. Download it from Microsoft.
Todd Holley
I don't have DX 9.. Working good for me..?
MonsterDK
it has DX9c. But the server is basic. So I can't go dedicated without needing to use DX9?
HIS-MOTHER
Thats correct. It's just a missing dx9 file you need. Rudedog has it over on his site. http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13492

2ndRBn
When I put in d3dx10_34.dll, it tells me to put in d3dx9_34.dll, and when I put in d3dx9_34.dll, I get the "DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme file for possible solutions." message. Hmm

After an 1 hour of zipping things up...taking some 21 hours to upload the zip It's corrupt...lol no wealth of knowledge was learned on that day.. would of been faster to drive 3 1/2 hours to the Colo in Toronto..and installed the CD from inside the cage... JasonF
Are you using a rar or zip? If it is a zip file, open it with winrar. I had a zip copy give me the same error but when you open it with winrar it works fine. Something to do with the stock zip not reading files over a certain size.
